Using Spectral Radius Ratio for Node Degree to Analyze the Evolution of Complex Networks
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper, we show that the spectral radius ratio for node degree could be used to analyze the variation of node degree during the evolution of complex networks. We focus on three commonly studied models of complex networks: random networks, scale-free networks and small-world networks. The spectral radius ratio for node degree is defined as the ratio of the principal (largest) eigenvalue of the adjacency matrix of a network graph to that of the average node degree. During the evolution of each of the above three categories of networks (using the appropriate evolution model for each category), we observe the spectral radius ratio for node degree to exhibit high-very high positive correlation (0.75 or above) to that of the coefficient of variation of node degree (ratio of the standard deviation of node degree and average node degree). We show that the spectral radius ratio for node degree could be used as the basis to tune the operating parameters of the evolution models for each of the three categories of complex networks as well as analyze the impact of specific operating parameters for each model.

Using Spectral Radius Ratio for Node Degree to Analyze the Evolution of Scale Free Networks and Small World Networks
In this paper, we show the evaluation of the spectral radius for node degree as the basis to analyze the variation in the node degrees during the evolution of scale-free networks and small-world networks. Spectral radius is the principal eigenvalue of the adjacency matrix of a network graph and spectral radius ratio for node degree is the ratio of the spectral radius and the average node degree...
متن کاملCommunity Detection using a New Node Scoring and Synchronous Label Updating of Boundary Nodes in Social Networks
Community structure is vital to discover the important structures and potential property of complex networks. In recent years, the increasing quality of local community detection approaches has become a hot spot in the study of complex network due to the advantages of linear time complexity and applicable for large-scale networks. However, there are many shortcomings in these methods such as in...
متن کاملLink Prediction using Network Embedding based on Global Similarity
Background: The link prediction issue is one of the most widely used problems in complex network analysis. Link prediction requires knowing the background of previous link connections and combining them with available information. The link prediction local approaches with node structure objectives are fast in case of speed but are not accurate enough. On the other hand, the global link predicti...
متن کاملThe Application of Complex Networks Analysis to Assess Iran's Trade and It's Most Important Trading Partners in Asia
The existing trade models suggest that for tradable goods potential partners can be many, but eventually only one (the one offering the best price) should be selected, therefore relatively few (unidirectional) trade links will appear between countries. If the structure of international trade flows describes as a network, trade link would give rise between countries. This paper exploit recently-...
متن کاملTopology Control in Wireless Sensor Network using Fuzzy Logic
Network sensors consist of sensor nodes in which every node covers a limited area. The most common use ofthese networks is in unreachable fields.Sink is a node that collects data from other nodes. One of the main challenges in these networks is the limitation of nodes battery (power supply). Therefore, the use oftopology control is required to decrease power consumption and increase network acce...
